What’s Ahead for 2025… ⏩
As we look to the new year, our commitment to expanding opportunities, resources, and representation for Latino/a venture capitalists remains unwavering.
In 2025, we will focus on:
Deepening Membership and Engagement: Enhancing core programming, such as the Breaking into Venture Fellowship, Emerging Manager Showcase, Mentorship Program, Annual Summit, and Avanza Summit to ensure maximum impact.
Enhanced VC Training and Resources: Launching advanced educational tracks such as a fellowship for mid-late career Latino/a professionals looking to break into venture capital.
Strengthening SomosVC’s Foundation: Releasing the organization’s first impact report and finalizing our long-term strategic plan.
Broader Industry Influence: Growing our partnerships, including potentially policy-related work, to extend our reach and drive systemic change.

Thank you to our outgoing board members, SomosVC’s Co-Founder Rami Reyes, Al Guerrero, and Lisette Tellez, whose vision and dedication have been instrumental in shaping our mission. While their leadership on the board will be missed, we are thrilled that Rami and Lisette will continue to be actively involved in advancing SomosVC’s mission. Their contributions have left an indelible mark on our community, and we look forward to seeing the impact they will continue to make!
